What we discovered in Miro’s office tour

Join us as we explore Skyscanner’s newly refurbished Edinburgh headquarters. Home to around 420 staff, this stunning workspace blends a people-first culture with design elements that subtly reflect the company’s Scottish roots.  

First up, you’ll see how the reception sets the tone, with a large digital screen showcasing Skyscanner’s global platform and an airport-style split flap display. Purposeful but playful design immediately connects the space to travel, while a generous tea-point serves as a subtle divider with the main workspace beyond. As we move further in, you become immersed in the company story, with diverse memorabilia charting Skyscanner’s journey to the present day. From the original office signage and server, to local Edinburgh art and customised tartan, the interior design proudly expresses Skyscanner’s heritage, showing how far the company has come.  

In the main breakout area, you’ll find a self-service barista bar and a wide mix of seating and flexible space. Biophilic elements help to divide work areas and soften the acoustics, while a large events space, with full AV integration, hosts townhalls, large meetings and presentations. Upstairs, you’ll find another breakout space and a range of work zones, meeting rooms, private booths and dedicated client area. There’s also a prayer room and parents’ room, indicating a workspace that is inclusive as well as high-performing.
