Inside LEGO’s workplace
Take a walk with us as we check out LEGO Group’s new US hub in Boston. Spanning 157,000 square feet, this impressive office comprises 600 workstations, 90 meeting rooms, multiple gyms and parents’ rooms, its size and scale mirroring the Group’s ambitions in the US market. And yes, there’s also lots and lots of LEGO!
As we enter the premises, you’ll see that the reception desk is one massive LEGO brick. LEGO figures, representing real people, adorn the walls, while there are buckets of LEGO located across the workspace. You’ll note that the huge botanical green wall is also made entirely from LEGO plants and flowers. It’s typical of the brand’s creativity and playfulness, which is also echoed in the fun, vibrant colours used throughout. Particularly vivid features include the pink lift lobby, blue and green kitchen areas and bright spiral staircases.
As you’ll note, the building is big on natural light, with large windows enhancing the sense of transparency and wellbeing. In fact, wellbeing and sustainability have shaped much of the design, with employees able to access flexible wellness areas dedicated to relaxation, meditation and prayer. The space is also LEED Gold and Well Gold certified, underscoring the Group’s commitments in these areas.
