Founded in 2013, Databricks is a leading tech company whose mission is to simplify and democratise data and AI. Today, over 10,000 organisations worldwide depend on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
With over 400 employees in the UK, in 2024 Databricks opened its new European HQ in central London. The workspace, formally occupied by a VFX studio, is part of the company’s strategic growth plans and efforts to build greater employee engagement.
Join us as we explore this expansive seven-storey office, one of Databricks’ largest workspaces outside of their San Francisco HQ. As we arrive, we pass through an elegant and calming reception into the very heart of the business – a large area filled with stylish meeting rooms, booths, a cozy lounge space and coffee bar. ‘Databrew’, as it’s known, serves as the office’s communal hub, the perfect place for staff to connect before they start their day.
On the upper floors, you’ll find a customer meeting suite and events area, with a bar and outdoor terrace complete with comfy seating and stunning views of London. There are also a range of meeting suites, from traditional boardrooms to more informal areas. The work floors offer a mix of collaborative spaces and private pods, plus a dedicated tech lab. As you’ll see, each floor has its own tea point filled with drinks and snacks, plus its own distinctive colour palette. Meanwhile, the basement provides the office’s main breakout space and training area, with foldable walls and bleacher seating supporting various uses and functions. Overall, a very cool modern office, with great connectivity, flow and world-class amenities – plus, as you leave, a Databricks gift shop, ensuring a memorable visit for all clients and customers.
