ShowcaseThe modern workplace is continually evolving. In the post-pandemic era of remote and hybrid working, employees need compelling reasons to come into the office. And a dull, stuffy workplace environment isn’t worth the commute. Today’s employees expect a range of amenities and experiences. They want to be engaged and inspired by their surroundings. Above all, they want to work in an office that’s high-tech, creative, and cool.
But how do we define ‘cool’ in the context of contemporary office space?
A cool office is one that combines the comfort and convenience of home with cutting-edge technology and a wealth of services and facilities: gyms, cafés, social space, F&B, entertainment, greenspace, and more.
Interesting design features, lighting and furniture are a must, likewise building materials and processes that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability. Younger employees in particular want to work in offices that express a company’s identity and reflect their own worldviews and values.
In short, a cool office is one that goes beyond the functional requirements of workspace, stimulating and motivating employees through high-quality amenities, design and architecture.
