About Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll is a US entertainment company specialising in all things anime. A joint venture between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Japanese company, Aniplex, Curnchyroll provides streaming, games, merchandise and more to anime fans worldwide.

In 2019, Crunchyroll decided the time had come to reimagine its headquarters in San Francisco to reflect the essence of the company’s brand and creative output.

Inside the Crunchyroll office

Take a look at this incredible, fully immersive workspace that draws heavily on Japanese architecture and culture. More atmospheric filmset than corporate office, the Crunchyroll HQ immediately transports staff and visitors to downtown Tokyo. There’s a converted central lobby area with a street-market café and arcade, where staff can relax and play games under bold neon lighting. And each of the site’s four floors is dedicated to immersive, anime-inspired spaces.

As you explore this vast, sprawling workplace, you’ll follow winding streets and dimly lit alleyways and enter meeting rooms that resemble traditional Japanese houses. Across the various levels, you’ll encounter different aspects of Japanese culture and landscape, while individual rooms, kitchen areas, and lounges borrow themes and characters from Crunchyroll productions. We’ll think you’ll agree, this is truly a unique and authentic workspace that pushes the boundaries of experiential design..
